Throughout my 25 years in the healhcare industry, whether I was designing an operating room or giving a lecture on cost containment, the question I heard continually from doctors, nurses, staff and administration was "How can we control our costs, have complete visibility to our inventory and continue to give quality patient care?"
In today's ever changing healthcare environment, hospitals are facing an uphill battle. The cost of supplies continues to rise while reimbursement has gone down.
